Sometimes, the hardest person to forgive is yourself. The past lingers like a weight, pulling you back to every mistake, every wrong choice, every moment that you now wish you could erase. It’s easy to get stuck there, to let guilt whisper that you’re not worthy of a fresh start. But that’s not how Allah sees you.
Allah forgives all sins. So long you seek tawbah, not just the small ones. Not just the ones you’ve apologised for. Even the ones that still make you flinch when you remember. He doesn’t keep you trapped in the past, you do. He doesn’t hold your mistakes against you, nor does He replay them over and over. When you turn to Him, He erases them, replaces them with something better, and opens a new path for you to move forward.
The past was part of the journey, but it doesn’t define you. The struggles, the wrong turns, the moments of weakness, they all played a role in shaping who you are today. Growth comes from those experiences, and every step, even the missteps, brought you here.
There’s no need to carry the weight any longer. Allah already knows your potential and the heights you can reach. Let go of what’s behind you.
Forgive yourself. Stop measuring yourself by who you used to be.
You are not your past. You are not your mistakes. You are who you are today. And with Allah’s mercy, tomorrow will be even better. Walk forward with confidence, because Allah has already written a beautiful future for you.
Love Always
