You told yourself this time would be different. You made dua, sought forgiveness, promised that you wouldn’t slip again. But here you are again….the weight of regret presses down and the whispers creep into your heart telling you, you’ll never change, then again, what’s the point of even trying, you keep doing this.
Allah might be tired of you…truth is, those whispers are not from Allah…they are from Shaytan, who wants nothing more than to see you give up, because he knows the obvious truth that Allah never tires of you….your mistake is not what defines you…Your repentance is.
Look at the way Allah speaks about those who repent, with love….not disappointment….not frustration.
What kind of Lord keeps calling you back with open arms, no matter how many times you fail? What kind of mercy allows you to return, again and again, with the promise that if you are sincere, He will wipe it away like it never happened?
When children are learning to walk, they fall over and over, but does a loving parent get tired of lifting them up? No (boya frustrated human beings sha)…..the normal ones will smile, they will encourage, they will hold out their hands for the child to try again.
Allah is far more merciful than any parent.
He sees your struggle. He sees your shame, your exhaustion, your hope that this time will be different. And He loves that you keep turning back to Him.
So don’t let Shaytan convince you that you are beyond forgiveness. As long as your heart is still beating, as long as you are still reaching for Him, you are not lost….Return to Allah, even if it’s the hundredth time. Even if you feel unworthy, because Allah’s mercy is not limited by your failures.
And the only way to truly lose is to stop trying.
Love Always
