Nothing You’ve Given Was Wasted…

Oh dear heart, I know you sometimes wonder if it’s enough. The way you show up for people. The way you keep giving. The way you choose silence when you could respond. The way you wake early, sleep late, hold things together, and still try to hold on to Allah.

It gets tiring. I know. And no, you don’t always say it out loud. But today, I need you to remember something: nothing you’ve done for His sake has gone unseen.

Not one breath. Not one tear. Not the du’a you whispered while folding laundry. Not the fast you kept while managing a house. Not the times you swallowed your feelings to keep the peace. Not the way you carried your family in private when you were the one who needed help.

Nothing was wasted.

And if you need proof, just remember Hajar. She wasn’t in a masjid. She wasn’t leading a movement. She was a woman  in a desert trying to survive. Trying to keep her son alive. Doing what needed to be done.

And Allah saw it all. He saw the sincerity…the strength…the submission. And He turned her effort into something eternal. A ritual. A reminder.

So why wouldn’t He honour your effort too?

You don’t need a grand moment to be accepted. You just need a sincere one. And you, my dear heart, you’ve had many.

So stop measuring your worth by how much you’ve ticked off a list. Allah doesn’t work like that.

You’re already showing up. Quietly. Consistently. And I pray that’s what He accepts from you.

So breathe today. Remember Him often. And let your worship come from a place of love, not fear.

You’re not falling behind. You’re not invisible. You’re seen. And it’s more than enough.
