For some ladies, their husband’s poor hygiene makes it hard to completely enjoy intimacy.
I’m not discussing his appearance or your inclinations here. I’m discussing things that can get in the way of being intimate or even thinking of sex because they make us uncomfortable.
Things like:
- Unkempt facial hair
- Sharp nails
- Body odour (most especially the armpit)
- Unwashed private parts
- Unbrushed teeth
You may be surprised why your husband doesn’t do these basic things that makes it easier for you to relax into him. Men, by and large have less sensitive skin than ladies, and they don’t have as strong a sense of smell as ladies do.
Your husband may not understand that his cleanliness influences your enjoyment in sex,
Talk to him about it. The only way your husband will understand how his hygiene affects these moments is if you tell him.
Giving an irritated attitude when he touches you or just wanting him to be done and get up during sex won’t give him the kind of information he can actually work with.
You need to be direct rather than hint, and you may need to have series of talks about this.
Be thoughtful about your timing. Talking about it while you are in bed and being sexually vulnerable with each other is definitely a bad idea. Instead, bring up the subject while you are doing something side by side, such as watching television together.
Be kind and respectful. Let your suggestion includes something positive as well as your request that he do something different.
You can as well encourage him by doing these things together till it gradually becomes a habit for him.
For example, brush with him at night, buy him deodorants, groom his facial hair with him, help him with a manicure or pedicure.
Enjoy doing these things together, you know these are things that actually builds intimacy and leads to mind-blowing bedroom sex.
